The Convener of the Pastor Reuben Foundation Unification Conference, Pastor Reuben Wilson, has said the mission of the gathering is to bring members of the Zion ministry together and restore the true purpose of the white garment church.
Speaking in an interview with newsmen after the 10th edition of the Pastor Reuben Foundation Unification Conference in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State with the theme:” The Lord Hath Made a Room, and We Shall Be Fruitful in the Land”, Pastor Wilson traced his return to the Zion Church to a divine instruction during prayer.
“I love God and this is my ministry. My mother gave birth to me, I saw my people attending this ministry and I have been a member,” he said.
“During the struggle for resource control in the Niger Delta, I backslided. But even then, I loved going to the House of God to pray and fast, especially in the Zion Church. After the late President Yar’Adua offered us amnesty, I was attending another church, but God kept telling me in my sleep to go back to my ministry. That is why I returned to my roots.”
On returning, he said he observed that “a lot of things were going wrong” and many members had deviated from the original way of service.
“One day while I was sleeping, God told me it was time to bring the Zion members together. God revealed the name: Pastor Reuben Foundation Unification Conference. After forming it, a lot of people came and we kickstarted it till date,” he said.
According to Pastor Wilson, the real mission of the Conference is to unite those “who have God in mind, especially the Zionists,” and to help people understand the true objective of the Zion ministry and the white garment family.
He emphasized that his focus is on investing in the House of God and in people, rather than in personal enrichment.
He added that whenever he visits any ministry and identifies a need, especially for instruments, he provides support. “As you can see, all the instruments here are brand new. That is why I am thanking God.”
Pastor Wilson also expressed appreciation to High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, and the Tantita family for their support.
“This foundation is open to others in other denominations to join. We have members from the Full Gospel Assembly who are part of this Conference, not only those from the white garment family,” he said.
He, however, advised members of the white garment church to return to their roots.
“My advice for those from the white garment is for them to know their root, the main objective of the white garment church. It is not by telling people to pay what will be painful to them as tithe. I have seen pastors collect what is painful to a person by deceiving them. That is not from God. The servant of God is to give to those who don’t have, not to defraud people to enrich yourself, but to focus on God,” he said.
Participants, Bishop Ogounu Jeremiah from Akwa Ibom State, Christ Ambassador Jamaica Biaware, from Bayelsa State, Princess Adora Oroubra and Pastor Dickson Krousei of the Full Gosple Assembly sued for unity and love in Chritaindom.
They extolled the Convener’s love for the work of God and adviced Chritainst to always invest in the house of God to receive God’s blessings while offering prayers to Pastor Reuben Wilson for continuous provisions and lifting.
